Managed service

What we operate

Where our responsibility ends and yours begins.

We handle

  • Running and upgrading the service
  • Database backups
  • Monitoring and availability
  • Applying migrations

You never see an environment variable or run a migration.

You handle

  • Who is in your organization, and what role they have
  • Which sources are connected, and their credentials
  • Which AI provider to use, and the key for it
  • What is shared with whom — access profiles and ownership

The security model is identical to self-hosted. We operate the infrastructure; we do not manage your access decisions.

Your AI provider is yours

You supply your own key. We do not resell model access, and your prompts go directly to the provider you chose.

If you would rather no content reached any external provider at all, that means self-hosting with a local model — it is not something the managed service can offer.

Configuration differences

Everything configured through environment variables on a self-hosted instance is configured in Settings here. Every guide in these docs applies to both; pages that differ show tabs.

Moving to self-hosted

Nothing locks you in — the product is identical. Get in touch and we will help move your content.
